What We Collect
We collect nothing. The developer does not receive, store, or process any personal data, text, or usage information from your device.
TypeCat is a bring-your-own-key (BYOK) keyboard. When you use an AI feature:
  • The text you are editing is sent directly from your device to the AI provider you selected (OpenAI, Google Gemini, xAI Grok, or Anthropic Claude)
  • Requests are made using your own API key, under your own account with that provider
  • The developer has no visibility into your text, requests, or responses
Spelling suggestions are processed entirely on-device and never leave your device.
Your API keys are stored securely in the iOS Keychain on your device. They are never transmitted to the developer or any party other than the AI provider you have selected.

When you use AI features, your text is sent to the provider you choose. Each provider has its own privacy policy:

The app contains no tracking, no analytics, no advertising SDKs, and no third-party data collection of any kind.
The app does not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised date.
